Spring Break 2011

We are just finishing up our first week of Spring Break! Yup we have another week. Lucky us :)

We took a hike up a trail called Rattlesnake....it's short and has an amazing view of Squam Lake. Can't wait to be able to swim in Squam.

March in Vermont

The girls and I have been at my parents house for some time while Pat is out winter camping with the Junior Class. I haven't talked to Pat in over a week. No news is good news right? We also said if he didn't hear from us and we didn't hear from him all was good. Can't wait to see and talk to him. My Mom has been spoiling me and letting me get out everyday skiing. I have skied all the trails behind my parents house with the dogs....it has been the most amazing skiing and so beautiful weather it is raining, snowing, windy, sunny or whatever mother nature is throwing at us. Today though is a drop dead gorgeous blue bird Vermont March Day. It got cold last night and we have a TON of snow but it is crusted over with a light dusting on it so perfect for walking on. My Dad just got back from Utah and we took the girls for a long walk. sledding around the property. In the middle of the walk Mabel had to pee and had no problem peeing right in the snow.....so cool!

Peas and Carrots

Yup Mabel and Hannah go together like Peas and Carrots...mostly because Hannah will eat peas and Mabel will eat Carrots. I give them each a little dish of said vegetable at lunch and dinner and they go to town on them. It works out nicely and there eating vegetables which is a huge bonus!

Birthday Girl!

Hannah Caroline is 1! Wow what a year and what a big girl she is. She is a true pleasure. Hannah is funny and for sure has her own personality. She is going to keep me on my toes. Hannah adores Mabel and Mabel adores Hannah...which is the best. Don't get me wrong they test each other but deep down it is all admiration. Ok here is to Hannah.

Baa Baa Black Sheep - Mabel's version

This is taken after lunch and after I have been taking movies of her singing for about 10 minutes....she was getting pretty funny. A food high and a little sleep punchy makes for one silly girl. The funny thing is she's "giving" bags of Wool to a lot of people. My favorite is one for the "masker" and Ben (a friend down at school) and Alyse (our new babysitter). She had a little bit of a cold so a little nasaly too. Enjoy.

I'm calling it!

It's Official Mabel is potty trained....and we are very excited and so is she. It went like this....we started by wearing underwear and haveing a few successful days of peeing on the potty then we had a short week of no potty and all accidents (let me tell you I almost through in the towel) then from one day to the next we were back at it and doing the potty dance and eating M&M's and peeing and pooping on the potty. I would take a picture but that would be pretty funny since I don't know if you all need to see her going to the bathroom on the potty, don't get me wrong it's cute and one of the best parenting moments. I am calling it official because we have been accident free for more then 5 or 6 days. I know we will still have accidents but she is doing it all and has graduated from the little potty on the floor to the toilet where Mom and Dad sit! She sleeps in underwear for her nap and is in a diaper at night....I don't know when I will tackle the night time potty training as Mabel is still in her crib and happy as can be and I plan/ hope she will be in it until late summer or Fall. So to have her not be able to get out of her bed and go pee seems hard to ask her to hold it all night. Anyway I am super excited about it all as you can probably tell.

And before you know it I am going to be "Calling it" for Hannah walking....she has had one or two standing sessions of about 3 seconds and is starting to " walk" behind the stroller. So fun and so cute. Watch out Mabel:)
